To facilitate a collaborative environment when multiple parties are working in the same accounting software, we have the following guidelines: 

Things You Can Do In Your Accounting Software

  • Accept Banking Data Feed Transactions
  • Write Checks
  • Bank/Credit Card Reconciliations But Do Not Press The "Finish" Button
  • Manage Accounts Receivable 
  • Manage Accounts Payable 
  • Add Items, Products & Services, & Classes

Working With Accounts Receivable

Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for the following activity:

  • Enter Invoices
  • Receive/Post Payments
  • Enter Deposits (Deposits Must Match Bank Statements)

Working With Accounts Payable

Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for the following activities:

  • Entering & Paying Bills In Software
  • Verifying The Accuracy Of Accounts Payable
  • Request W9s from Vendors
  • Respond To Vendor Inquiries

Things You Cannot Do In Your Accounting Software

  • Complete Bank/Credit Card Account Reconciliations
  • Create Or Post Any Journal Entries
  • Change The Chart of Account Or Add New Accounts
  • Change Item Mapping
  • Delete Any Transaction Occurring In A Prior Period
  • Add Third-Party Integration Without Our Consent
